Propitas was appointed to undertake Desktop Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCA) on a portfolio of 450 properties of various uses including offices, retail, and industrial.  As part of the desktop study, we identified that the properties had been undervalued therefore placing our client at significant risk in the event of a claim. 

The assessments were concluded within a short period allowing our client to negotiate new insurance premiums with their provider and ensure the portfolio was fully insured. 

When arranging insurance, it is essential that reinstatement costs are properly calculated and reviewed every three years, or earlier if significant changes or alterations occur such as extending or converting a property.
