We recently completed a pre-acquisition survey for an international brand to occupy this premises on a long leasehold as their UK HQ in Surrey. Originally built in the 19th century as a country residence with outbuildings, it was converted 30 years ago to office use. Our client intends to refurbish the property to bring it up to modern standards for offices, a showroom, maintenance areas and gym. Our building survey provided specific tailored advice on the current condition and future maintenance obligations for such a building and the refurbishment requirements to meet current regulations. Our advice along with validation testing to the mechanical and electrical systems and concurrent development and costing of fit out proposals enabled our client to progress with the acquisition with full knowledge of the undertaking.
