PROPITAS GAIN ISO 14001:2015 ACCREDITATION

The ISO 14001 certification is a globally recognised sign of a business’ commitment to the preservation of the environment.

In achieving the ISO 14001 certification, Propitas has proved that we meet the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to protect the environment.

Propitas takes pride in reducing the environmental impact we have on the world and in the successful acquisition of the ISO 14001 standard, that dedication has been validated. In order to achieve certification Propitas had to demonstrate a systematic approach to environmental management and show dedication to sustainable development.

To ensure continuing dedication to the ISO 14001 standard, each year an external audit is carried out by a third party to guarantee that everything is still in place and any improvements needed are addressed.

Director of Propitas, Chris Hodgson, said “the environmental impact of businesses, including construction works, is key to contributing towards reducing our global carbon footprint. The fact that we are committed to supporting not only our own environmental impact, but that of our construction sites, demonstrates how important this matter is to Propitas. The ISO 14001 standard underpins this, and we hope that these credentials can be used in developing relationships with like minded organisations, to assist in reducing the environmental impact of the construction sector.”

Martin Figg, the QMS Consultant who assessed Propitas for their ISO 14001 certificate, said “Propitas had some great processes already in place. ISO 14001 has enabled them to build on this framework and will help them reduce their impact on the natural world, improve efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint”
