Our client acquired this property in anticipation of a relocation from their current site. Propitas were instructed to tender and manage the strip-out and remedial works at this building, which is the former TUI UK headquarters, located adjacent to Gatwick Airport. The property was fitted out with a full training suite, inclusive of a scale model aeroplane and various meeting and training rooms. Our client required the enabling works to be tendered, in advance of the subsequent fit-out comprising a specification with architectural drawings. This approach was vital given the timescale for the fit-out works to be completed by lease expiry at their existing site.
We worked with our client to agree the extent of the strip-out, in addition to some advanced roof remedial works and extensive asbestos removal. Concurrently, we worked with the architect and local planning authority to get the fit-out scope in line and ready for a seamless transition once the strip-out was completed. We managed the strip-out from inception to completion and built in additional client-led asbestos removal during the course of these works, without running over on programme.
