Propitas were instructed by a major UK bookseller to project manage the external refurbishment and repair of their flagship store in Cork, Ireland. The works encompassed plaster repairs to the front and rear elevations, along with extensive timber repairs and full decoration works to the entirety. Propitas produced a specification and, following a competitive tender process, selected the most suitable contractor who would also work around the timescales and requirements of the local council given the immediate vicinity being a busy pedestrian area. We managed the project to completion, on programme, with the final account coming in under budget, despite multiple variations throughout the contract period.
