We were appointed on behalf of Resolution Real Estate Advisers to carry out a pre-acqusition survey of this three storey shopping centre, providing 420,000 sq ft of enclosed retail and leisure accommodation, complete with 12 screen cinema and two multi storey car parks.
We led the technical team through the due diligence process, collating reports from the services and environmental consultants. We reviewed all available construction documentation, planned preventative maintenance reports and health and safety files, providing advice on any key issues.

With the usual time pressures of a commercial acquisition being applied, we were able to mobilise the survey team and carry out the survey at short notice, providing a fully co-ordinated executive summary report within 48 hours of the inspection, presenting the client with all of the key facts to give them comfort that the building presented no significant risks to the purchase proceeding.
We tailored our report to incorporate advice on potential asset management initiatives that the client wanted to consider during their hold period, to assist in determining the feasibility of implementing value added projects.
